Treating Acne With Carrots and Tomatoes

Acne can leave you embarrassed and completely fed up with the constant eruptions and following acne scars. Rather than having medicines for acne it is safer to try some natural acne treatments. They are safer in comparison and have no side-effects whatsoever. Amongst the many natural treatments, carrots and tomatoes have shown miraculous results in preventing and curing acne and acne marks.

Carrots are a rich source of Vitamin A that is one of the most powerful vitamins for treating acne. Carrots have beta carotene that works effectively as a skin healing agent. Carrots can be used in any form to combat acne. You may eat carrots daily, make a puree and apply on the skin or make juice and drink daily for healing acne and keeping you acne-free.

If possible, try to purchase organic carrots for minimal chemical invasion in the product. Many people do the mistake of peeling the carrots. Don't peel off the skin as it has the highest concentration of vitamin A. Rather use a brush to cleanse under running water, dry and store in the refrigerator. Start your morning with a glass of carrot juice. Carrot juice is a good source of vitamin A and minerals. Regular intake would show miraculous results by reducing acne and their scars effectively.

For acne scar removal, take some sea salt and mix a little carrot juice. Blend together and make a thick paste. Apply well all over your face and massage it gently as sea salt can cause skin abrasions if rubbed hard. This works excellently as a natural derma abrasion procedure by stripping off the top layer of the skin to expose the next layer that is young, healthy and acne-free. You may also dab some fresh carrot juice on the acne at their initial stages. It prevents the acne from forming and does not let it scar either.

Tomato is another potent source of calcium, vitamins A and C, magnesium and potassium that works wonderfully to combat acne. People with oily skin generally have acne complaints too as the extra oil secretion leads to acne breakouts. Tomato is specifically great for oily skins as it helps curb the oil secretion and control acne. Just like carrots, tomatoes too can be consumed and applied on the skin to treat acne.

Wash a tomato well and cut it into half. Apply directly all over your face letting the juice spread generously. Let it dry and wash it off with cold water. Tomato being a natural astringent also closes the open pores and gives the skin a blemish-free smooth look. It works very well for skin regeneration too by promoting cellular growth. Alternatively, you may mix tomato pulp with some honey and spread on the face as a mask. Let it dry and wash off with water. It would help in clearing acne scars as well as help moisturize the skin well. As per acne treatment reviews tomato and avocado pulp mixed together is also a good face mask as both are effective in controlling oil secretion of the skin and keeping the skin acne-free.
