Reduce Acne Scars With an All Natural Acne Treatment Cream

What is the best acne scar treatment? That is a question asked by millions of people on a daily basis. The answer used to rely on what your specific scar type was. People for decades have been undergoing procedures that cause severe adverse effects that leave their complexion in worse shape then before the procedure. Thanks to the biological discovery of a new skin care solution, you can treat acne scars naturally from the warmth of your own home.

Inflammation, scaling, redness, hyperpigmentation, and even severe infection can plague some removal techniques. Some techniques of scar removal literally use a machine to physically erode the damaged tissues off of your skin. Other removal procedures can include lasers that pierce your skin and eliminate scars. This seems a little high tech, doesn't it?

Popular acne scar treatments can eliminate left over marks and damaged tissues but they come at a price. Many treatments are classified as elective procedures so they will come straight out of your pocket. Peeling, hyperpigmentation, and inflammation are a couple of the better adverse effects when considering dermabrasion, chemical peels, and surgical procedures like skin grafting.

Chemical peels can be done at a beauty spa. People enjoy the in and out aspect of the procedure, it can be done during a lunch break. This acne scars treatment is normally used for red post inflammatory scars. Chemical peels involve applying a strong synthetic chemical that penetrates into the affected areas, giving life to a new superficial layer of skin. When the coating of chemicals is taken off, new, fresh skin cells are exposed.

The concept behind this acne scarring treatment is that old, flawed tissues and scars are replaced by new cells. The adverse effects come into play because one is ever sure how skin is going to react to synthetic chemicals. None of the ingredients are blatantly dangerous but your skin can still be altered by redness, inflammation and in some cases, hyperpigmentation. Red lesions can affect tissues deep under the superficial layers. Since chemical peels take only the superficial layers off, larger marks can take a couple treatments.

Dermabrasion is a more intense acne scarring treatment that employs a small machine resembling a belt sander to abrade the top layers of skin. Using the machine, flawed skin is physically abraded, removing impurities and giving the skin a more natural appearance.

Dermabrasion is not the most mild way to www.abateit.com eliminate acne scars nor is it the best treatment for depressed acne scarring. The spinning wheel can be tough mentally to deal with since it comes in such close proximity to your eyes and mouth. Many times you will need a local anesthetic to help relieve the discomfort.

There is nothing about dermabrasion that triggers the production of collagen and elastin. If you have depressed acne scarring, this procedure will do absolutely nothing to improve your skin. If that weren't enough reason to search for other www.abateit.com/acne-scar products for acne scars, on average a month to 6 weeks of recovery time is typically needed for complete healing. No one wants to have red, irritated cheeks and band-aids for weeks after a procedure.

If you are looking for an over the counter acne scar treatment, your options are rather limited. Lots of women become reliant upon makeup and concealers because they help mask flaws and give confidence. The truth is that with the discovery of a biological skin care solution, you can forget about all the surgical methods of removal and makeup that just hides scars.

There is an all natural treatment available that functions biologically with your own skin cells to naturally renew skin blemishes. The solution is effective and gentle and does not chafe skin like some other removal methods.

The natural skin care cream contains a biological ingredient full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, proteins, peptides, and enzymes. When used on human skin, the cream will:

* saturate deep into the skin and promote cellular turnover.

* diffuse damaged tissues and acne scars and return the amino acid components back into the system as the basis of new cellular growth

* vastly improve cellular exchange and provoke proliferation which improves collagen and elastin levels in the skin.

* destroy bacteria and microbes living on the skin. The natural acne scars treatment stimulates the synthesis of antimicrobial peptides on the skin that eliminate micro-organisms living on the skin superficial layers. Assuring bacteria aren't allowed to survive on the skin prevents future acne scarring and healthy cells infection.

Is Cystic Acne Leaving Scars on your Face?

One fine day, after waking up in the morning, I had the shock of my life! Acne is infesting my face! I have what my dermatologist would like to call cystic acne. I NEVER have experienced anything that serious, and my face broke out right after an overnight stay at camp. I have a huge cyst on the bottom of my face, one between my eyes, and one on either cheek. Initially I am really nervous and puzzled about what to do. The other day the very big cyst popped and yellow-brownish stuff came pouring out, but it is slowly becoming big again. Oh man.

Well cystic acne development is an indication of toxic overload in your body. This is because the organs of elimination are not clean. Instead of toxins being passed out the proper channels, you are passing out of the skin. You need to start cleansing your bowel first through a series of colonic irrigation sessions or enemas and then begin flushing your liver to remove stones. If you begin to seriously clean the large intestine, you will see an improvement in your acne immediately, simply because the body is able to eliminate through the proper channels.

So what cause the toxic overload in my body? Hmm, it seemed to be the improper diet of mine recently. Certain foods that are oily like French fries and junk food can cause acne to grow on our face. Although scientific studies have not discovered any connection between these two, this does not mean that food does not cause acne. A proper and healthy diet is always good for our system, but eating like a pig won't make pimples a permanent problem in your face. Feel free to eat your favorite fries and chocolates anytime, but better not eat too much of everything. Any food, no matter how good it is, should not be consumed in excess. Guess I better watch what I eat now.

Should I rush down to get Accutane from my neighborhood pharmacy for quick solution to my acne problem? Well it's an ironic situation actually because the Accutane which is a dangerous drug and a poison to the body is known to cause liver damage. Hence I would not use Accutane. For many people Accutane does not solve the problem and leaves them with other health problems as well.

In the meantime it is important not to squeeze or pick the pimples as they can scar quite badly. This can lead to the spread of acne and the development of acne scars. Take my word on that.

And if you have not exercise for a long time, now is the best time to push yourself to exercise! Sweating is the best way to detoxify and cleanse your body from accumulated toxic. Go for a job, gym, swimming, or even yoga. Exercise can also help to relief stress and hence prevent acne to appear. In fact it is known that some modern industrial toxins and pesticides can leave your body only through sweat glands!

Right, now is the time to act and battle the acne before it leave scars on your face. Unless the above natural methods won't work for you or your cystic acne is getting really serious, then it's time to consult a doctor and get some antibiotic to kill the acne. Luckily for me, I do not really need that.

Acne Scars Removal - You Will Be Proud to Show Your Face Again

There are a number of products and techniques available for acne scars removal and odds are one of them can work for you. When a case of acne finally clears up you would think it would be a cause for celebration but when unsightly scarring remains, the depression can grow deeper. Scars on the face make many people very self conscious and reluctant to go out in public. Removal of acne scars can give those people a whole new lease on life.

The severity of your scarring will influence what type of acne scar removal treatment will work best for you. If the scars aren't too deep or your skin is discolored, a chemical cream or gel could produce very good results. There are a number of these solutions available over the counter which mixes chemicals with vitamins to exfoliate the skin and promote new growth. If your scarring is more severe you might need more stringent methods to remove the dead skin. A chemical peel is often used to remove the old damaged tissue.

The active ingredients in most chemical peels are either alpha hydroxy acids or beta hydroxy acids; the difference will depend on how oily your skin is. They usually require several treatments spread out over an extended period of time and the redness and irritation from the chemicals can be uncomfortable. If the milder acids are not effective, something more stronger might be tried like trichloroacetic acid (TCA). TCA has not only shown to be effective in removing acne scars but it is also used to get rid of unwanted tattoos and age spots.

If the scar removing cream or chemical peels do not work to your satisfaction there are still other acne healing and scar removal options available. Cosmetic surgeons are making great strides in removing acne scar through laser surgery. A laser light pen is used to burn off the scars. This procedure usually requires several sessions and can be expensive at up to $1500 per session.

With so many acne scars removal options available, there is no reason to live with the unsightly scars from acne any longer. Wouldn't it be nice to look in the mirror and not have to be reminded every day of the battle you once faced trying to control acne in the past?

DYI Acne Treatment

Acne is among the most common skin conditions and affects millions of people worldwide. It can have deep psychological consequences, affecting how you feel about yourself -- specially among teenagers. While there are several different types of acne treatment available, finding the right one for you can be a daunting task.

The ideal treatment for you depends on the severity of your acne problem. There are people with mild acne and there are those who suffer from severe acne. Whether it's mild or severe, acne can still make a person feel self- conscious.

If there are small lesions like whiteheads and blackheads appearing on the surface of your skin, you have mild acne. You don't need to worry because mild acne is easy to treat. You can actually get rid of it naturally. Just wash the affected area using mild soap and warm water twice a day. This helps remove excess oils and dead skin cells. Then, apply topical OTC acne treatment creams or solutions like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. In 6 to 8 weeks, you should be able to see improvements.

To ensure the best results in treating acne, it is advisable that you:

? Don't squeeze, pop or pick acne as it can make them worse and last longer. It can also lead to permanent scarring.

? Avoid facial scrubs, abrasive soaps, astringents, toners and marks as these can irritate your skin. It becomes harder for your skin to tolerate your acne medication.

? Never scrub your skin clean because it can irritate acne-prone skin and lead to breakouts.

? Wait for 5 to 15 minutes after washing before you apply any acne medication.

? Only use oil-free skincare products because it can add to the clogging of the pores and lead to breakouts.

? Apply your acne medication before applying makeup.

? Cleanse the skin gently after sweating to prevent breakouts.

? Use acne treatment products exactly as prescribed.

Keep in mind that acne cannot disappear overnight. You need to give your www.acnetreatmentscar.com acne treatment product enough time to work. It usually takes 6 to 8 week before you can see improvements on your skin. Though it won't be as blemish-free as you hoped it would be, there should still be a noticeable difference. To achieve clearer skin, it may take 6 months. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can always see a dermatologist for a more appropriate therapy.

For those who suffer from severe acne conditions, on the other hand, it may be necessary more aggressive treatments. Those may be prescription medications or physical method. Some treatment options for severe acne are: intralesional corticosteroid injection, oral antibiotics, isotritinoin, drainage and surgical excision. Have You Tried Skin Needling to Roll Out Those Wrinkles, Scars Or Stretch Marks?

If you have skin problems such as a scar, stretch marks or those dreaded wrinkles, then I think you might find what I have to say very helpful!

I've only recently heard of this 'skin needling' device and what it can do to rejuvenate your skin. So I bought one and am currently 'testing' it out, it's still early days but so far so good.

What Is The Derma Roller?

Skin needling is an ancient skin needling tool which gently pricks the top layer of your skin, it doesn't hurt and you won't bleed.

It consists of about 190 micro-needles which are approximately 1 millimetre long. You can get different sized needles depending on your skin texture or what the intention of the device is.

For example, if you want to get rid of acne scars then you might need a slightly longer needle so this will penetrate into the scar tissue.

What Do You Mean 'Rejuvenate'

You need to get rid of the top layer of your skin, this is called the epidermis. The top layer automatically 'rejuvenates' itself anyway approximately every 30 days or so.

I'm sure you've heard the expression 'shedding your skin', well this is what this means. Your old, dead skin cells drop off and are replaced by new skin cells. However, if you have scars, wrinkles of stretch marks then this area makes it harder to rejuvenate.

The good news is that you can help your scarred or wrinkled skin to rejuvenate a bit faster and deeper.

What Does Skin Needling Do?

As we have just read about how skin needling gently pricks your epidermis. What this starts is a process where more collagen is produced. This happens because you have essentially 'damaged' the skin cells on your epidermis so your collagen comes to the rescue to 'reproduce' new skin cells to replace the damaged ones.

So if you do this three/four times a week, which essentially means you are renewing your epidermis (to a specific area) several times a week, then your damaged skin will be replaced with new healthy wrinkle, scar and stretch mark free!

Chemical Peel for Acne - Why You Should Consider A Chemical Peel For Your Acne

Are you tired of buying over the counter acne treatments that don't work? Are you fed up with spending money on expensive prescription medications, and not seeing any results? If so, you might be ready to try a chemical peel for acne treatment.

A chemical peel might be a viable option for those with mild to moderate acne. And you can find a treatment that will fit your budget.

About the Acne Chemical Peel

During the treatment, a product that contains acid is applied to your skin. The purpose is to remove the outer surface layer of the skin. Over the next few days or weeks, the surface skin will slough off and flake away, and new, healthy skin will takes its place. The new skin will have fewer acne blemishes, and less noticeable acne scars. It will also be smoother, and have fewer lines and wrinkles.

While a peel might have great results, the effects often aren't permanent. Acne blemishes might begin to reappear, and scarring may start to become more pronounced and visible. In those cases, you can either return to your dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon for another chemical peel treatment, or you can use an at-home peel.

Cost and Recovery Time

The cost of a chemical peel can vary widely, depending on the type you choose to have. A light chemical peel can average between $200 and $300, while a deep treatment can cost anywhere from $2000 to $5000, or even more. Fortunately, even a light peel can have benefits for those who suffer from acne.

How long it will take to recover from the procedure depends on the kind of peel you choose. If you have a light peel, you can be out and about, going about your business as normal, just a few hours later. However, for a deep peel, you would have to stay home and rest for around two weeks.

Possible Side Effects

Those who have light or medium peels usually experience mild side effects. These can include redness, dryness, stinging, flaking and, in some cases, minor swelling.

For those who have had a deep peel, the side effects can be much more pronounced. Their pain and swelling will tend to be more severe, and they will usually be given medication to help ease pain and discomfort.

Using a chemical peel for acne might not be as common as some other treatments. But many have found it to be an effective and affordable way to deal with acne and acne scars.

Acne can form by hormones stimulating an excess production of sebum in your skin. The sebum then closely adheres to the hair follicle and blocks the opening and holds the sebum in the skin. The result is inflammation in the under layers or dermis of the skin. Sometimes there will only be minimal scarring, but that is not always the case, as more severe, visible and life long scarring can occur as a result of the process.

A most common complaint after acne is skin discoloration. This is where Zenmed's triple acid, esthetician strength, Ascorbic-Glycolic-Lactic concentrate will help to gradually diminish flaws on the surface of the skin. This will help with all types of scarring as well as wrinkles and fine lines.

The process of bringing dead skin cells to the surface of the skin in a faster process is referred to as peeling. These dead cells are then tenderly shed from the surface to uncover fresh, new skin. All this can be done with a five minute application which will bring the following results:

- Diminished acne scars

- Smoother, more even skin and disappearance of bumps

- Refreshed and glowing skin

- Less wrinkles and fine lines

After using this for three to four treatments will you notice:

- Increased collagen to give your skin a fuller more plump appearance

- Hyper pigmentation, acne scars and other imperfections gradually fade away

- Skin becomes more balanced and dryness is gone

After eight to ten applications you will discover:

- Minimized appearance of wrinkles

- Less visible acne scars

- Small flaws are diminished

You will not find any harmful chemicals in any of Zenmed's products, but will only contain all natural ingredients that are good and very soothing to the skin which will bring highly effective results, GUARANTEED!

Acne Treatment - Finding a Treatment That Works Best for You

The statistics on acne sufferers are quite staggering. While over 60 million people in the United States are directly affected by acne, only around 11% of those will seek a professional opinion or solution. In some cases the acne is only mild and some small lifestyle changes and basic solutions can be all that is needed, but in a lot of cases a more serious and concerted effort is needed. Producing the best acne products has become a competitive market with many big players spending millions on getting their product in front of as many of those 60 million potential customers. But if we remove the advertising budgets, which of these acne products is best?

Natural acne products

There is a popular and growing school of thought that suggests that the more natural a product is the better it is. This stems from a belief that synthesized and processed solutions are not naturally compatible with our body. Regardless of your personal opinion on that school of thought, there are a number of natural products that have been confirmed to be beneficial to those suffering from acne.

Aloe Vera is a plant product with noted anti-inflammatory properties which can be taken internally as an anti-oxidant, or applied externally to the affected area. It assists with reducing the pain and tenderness in the infected area as well as reducing pimple size.

Natural products such as tea tree oil and natural apple cider vinegar are both popular as a spot application product to assist with acne treatment. In both cases the product should be diluted as it is quite strong and may otherwise react with sensitive skin.

There are a number of supplements that should be considered for acne relief. Zinc, Vitamin A and Vitamin E are particular effective and popular forms of acne treatment. These can be found naturally in certain foods, but are also available from a health store as a supplement and act as anti-oxidants and anti-inflamatories. Zinc is also an effective limiter of androgenic hormone production, a major contributing factor in acne outbreaks.

Over-the-counter acne products

There are a number of popular over-the counter acne products which all make some bold claims about their ability to counter acne. As previously noted this is a very big market for the manufacturers, and so no expense is spared in grabbing a big slice of the market.

Despite that the most effective products tend to share a common ingredient, and this is a solution of benzoyl peroxide. It is available in concentrations from 2.5% through to around 10% and in some cases higher. While most people would assume that the higher the concentration the more effective the solution, there is a fair amount of literature that suggests that this is not necessarily the case and in most cases a 2.5% concentration will provide results.

The benzoyl peroxide effectively reduces infection and inflammation at 2.5%, and the carrier ingredients usually help with other symptoms and side effects such as dry skin and tenderness. Which of these products will be best for you is unfortunately going to be a case of trial and error for each individual. Some creams are designed for adults, while some are formulated for teenagers. Some specify daily use, some multiple times per day. Some may react with sensitive skin while providing a better solution to those with more regular skin sensitivity. It's always important to read the label carefully, and not be embarrassed about asking the pharmacists professional opinion on which products suits your specific situation.

Specialist acne treatment?

Where natural treatments and over the counter medication fail, it is always recommended to consult a dermatologist to discuss the best acne product for your situation. There are a number of options available to dermatologists that are not commonly available over the counter. Of these the most well known is called Accutane. Accutane is the brand name of the substance 'Isotretinoin' and it is widely considered to be a revolution in the treatment of acne. Not only does it have close to 100% success rate, but it is labeled as a cure for acne, not just a treatment. A course of Accutane is around 5-6 months, and in about 85% of cases acne goes into an extended or permanent remission.

Being effective doesn't come without a cost though and in Accutanes case there is a shopping list of side effects. The most severe is that in a staggeringly high 25-35% of cases Accutane pregnancies will result in miscarriage or birth deformity. Additionally there are links to skeletal weakening and damage to the liver, kidney and internal organs. Accutane also has an unproven link to psychological illness and suicidal thoughts. As such, it is seen very much as a treatment of last resort by specialists and is not prescribed without a number of waivers and advance evaluations.

It can be overwhelming selecting a treatment that will work best for you. Choosing the right acne treatment depends on what form of acne you have and how severe it is.

Benzoyl Peroxide: Used for many years, this over-the-counter treatment is commonly used for treating mild to moderate acne vulgaris.
Antibiotics: A prescription type medication, antibiotics is used for more severe acne cases. It is either applied on the skins surface or taken orally.
Hormonal treatment: Mainly used for females to control hormonal levels that help form acne.
Oral retinoids: Medication that contains vitamin A (Isotretinoin), which is to be taken orally every day over a long period of time. Isotretinoin helps reduce the production of oils from the glands that cause acne.

Acne procedures:

Acne laser treatment: A very expensive method, the laser treatment is used to help reduce acne scarring by using intense light pulse sources on the skin.
Dermabrasion: Another method used to treat severe acne scarring. The procedure involves removing the skins surface by abrasion. A very painful form of treatment, but produces great results.
Surgery: Surgical procedures are often used for treating acne cysts or other severe acne forms by using surgical lancing.

In conclusion, the best treatment for you will depend on a number of factors, both with your personal situation and with the severity of your acne. The important thing to keep in mind is that you are going through a situation that many others are going through and it's okay to ask for help from people with specialist training such as pharmacists and Dermatologists. These professionals have knowledge and resources available to them to help you find the best solution to your unique situation.

Remove Ugly Acne Scars Quickly And Naturally

Scars caused by acne are more common than physicians once believed; most people will have acne scars that are mild. However, some will have scars that are significant. The best approach is prevention and to treat acne promptly as sometimes even mild acne can cause scarring, Prompt acne treatment will minimize the risk of permanent acne scars.

Acne scars result from tissue response to the inflammation caused by acne:

(1) Increased tissue formation

(2) Loss of tissue.

1. Increased Tissue Formation

The scars caused by increased tissue formation are called keloids or hypertrophic scars. The word hypertrophy means "enlargement" or "overgrowth." Both hypertrophic and keloid scars are associated with excessive amounts of the cell substance collagen. Overproduction of collagen is a response of skin cells to injury. The excess collagen becomes accumulated in fibrous masses, resulting in a firm, smooth and irregularly-shaped scar. Keloids tend to be inherited where a genetic predisposition to form keloids occurs after tissue injury. African-Americans often have a predisposition to keloid formation. Some families also tend to form hypertrophic acne scars or thickened acne scars.

2. Acne Scars Resulting From Loss of Tissue

Acne scars resulting from loss of tissue are more common than scars resulting from increased tissue formation. There are several types of acne scars but the most common are:

A. Ice-pick acne scars - derive their name from their appearance. They could be superficial or deep, are usually diminished in diameter and have steep sides like an ice-pick wound. They could be also be hard or soft to the touch; the soft acne scars are usually more skin-deep and the hard scars deeper. The base of hard scars under the skin may be wider than the scar at the surface of the skin.

B. Depressed fibrotic acne scars - are usually large scars that have sharp margins and steep sides. They are similar in appearance to deep chicken pox scars.

C. Superficial and deep soft acne scars - are varying in size, and have slanted edges that blend with normal skin.

D. Follicular macular atrophy - is more likely to occur on the chest or back of a person with acne. These are small, white, soft lesions, often barely raised above the surface of the skin-somewhat like whiteheads that didn't fully develop. This condition is sometimes also called "perifollicular elastolysis." The lesions may persist for months to years.

How Scar Gels and Scar Creams Can Remove a Scar

There are many options available for anyone who wants to get rid of or reduce the appearance of a scar. Unfortunately, some of these options, such as dermabrasion, collagen injections, or scar revision surgery, can be invasive, expensive, or complicated. They may not be the best option for you.

If you're looking for something less invasive, and perhaps more in line with your budget, you should head to your favorite health and beauty aisle. As the health and beauty industry has boomed, there are gels and creams available to remove scars.

Before you decide which scar gel or cream is best for you, it's important to understand exactly what they do to reduce or eliminate your scar. These products use natural ingredients that encourage the growth of healthy skin cells to prevent scars, as well as to make them less noticeable.

The products smooth, flatten, and soften the scarred skin to help it appear far less noticeable, and can even reduce redness to help the area blend in with the unscarred skin around it. These gels and creams can also help with the itching and irritation that sometimes comes with scars. The ingredients work with the body's natural healing process to smooth your skin and reduce the appearance of scars.

One option for reducing or eliminating scars is silicone gel sheets. The sheets are thin, transparent, and waterproof, and can easily be cut to fit the scarred area. The sheets are similar to wearing an adhesive bandage, and can even be used on joints or other awkward areas thanks to their flexibility. The sheets work by covering the scarred area and moisturizing it. This helps reduce the size and redness of a scar, and can even help improve the elasticity of the skin in the scarred area. Research has also shown that the improvements to the scar are permanent with silicone gel sheets.

Some people choose to camouflage their scars rather than use products to try and get rid of them. Some cosmetics are designed specifically to disguise scars, birth marks, and even tattoos, and can easily be matched to the skin tones around the scarred area. If you have very sensitive skin or an allergy to the ingredients in scar gels and creams, this may be a good option for you.

Vitamin E is a common, natural ingredient in scar gels and creams. Not only is it moisturizing, but vitamin E works with your skin to help create healthy skin cells. This can work especially well as the skin is healing to prevent scars from forming in the first place, but can help older scars, as well.

Before you decide on a scar gel or cream, take into consideration your skin sensitivity and any allergies you may have. Scarred skin is even more sensitive than the skin around it, so if you normally have sensitive skin, the scarred area will react even more. Once you do select a gel or cream for your scar, make sure you follow the directions carefully and stick with it. If your scar is larger or deeper, it may take longer for the product to work.

When selecting www.scarerase.com Scar Treatments like Scar Gels or Scar Creams, consider your skin's sensitivity and the possible allergies you may have. For more information about www.scarerase.com Scar Treatment, visit ScarErase.com.

Acne Scars - When Would The Marks Go?

The problem of acne is very common among the teenagers as well as the adults. But the life span of acne may vary from person to person. So, for few it is a short, while for others it may seem like an eternity. And finally, when acne gets treated, the next question is how long would it take for the acne red marks to go?

People tend to get impatient when it comes to acne red marks, which normally appear once the healing process starts. They generally last for a short span. But they make people feel impatient. People tend to think that if acne could be removed, why should the marks hang around?

There are many factors responsible for the acne red marks. First of all, severity of the acne problem is the major cause. If one had suffered from a severe form of acne, the acne red marks are more likely to stay on for a longer duration.

Another factor is that the natural resistance of human body varies from person to person. So, the healing process may take longer if your natural healing capacity is on the lower side.

Interestingly you can cure these marks at home also. Prepare a pack by mixing five teaspoons of baking soda and nine teaspoons of water. Apply it on the affected area and leave it for sometime to dry. And then wash it off. In order to get better results, after applying the paste, you can also massage the spots with soft hands and then wash the area.

Sometimes marks left behind by acne are a pigment problem. Generally the persons with dark skin are affected by these pigment spots, which can be light brown or dark brown in color. If your acne was not treated with benzoyl peroxide, these marks would fade away automatically after some time.

Depending upon the factors stated above, the acne red marks normally last between four to twelve weeks. But the duration might vary from person to person. However, there is no need to worry because the marks would fade away sooner or later.

Getting Rid of Acne Scars - Important Facts That You Must Understand

After getting painful and unsightly pimples in your skin, the next thing that you have to worry about is the scarring. There are skin types that are more prone to scars. People with oily skin are the ones who usually get deep or dark scars which can be hard to get rid of.
There are several types of scarring. The first one is called the ice pick scars. Like the name suggests, these scars are small, like the pricking of an ice pick. The scars can be shallow or deep. You can usually find ice pick scars on the cheeks. The second type is boxcar scars, which look a lot like the scars that you can find after someone had chicken pox. The third one is called rolling scars, which is the result of the damaging of the tissue under the skin.
The type of treatment that you will get will depend on the type of acne scar that you have. Always remember that every scar treatment has its own set of pros and cons, and if one treatment worked well for one person, it does not mean that it can work wonders for you too. There are some who ended up having worse scar problems because they went for the wrong type of treatment.
To make sure that you get the right type of scar treatment, you have to consult a reputable dermatologist. He will know how to remove your scars by determining the type of skin that you have.

If you have ever suffered from acne then you understand how devastating it can be. The lingering after effects such as scars and dark spots which are left on your face can kill your self-image. This could result in low self esteem and other problems.

Although there are some great treatments on the market to help get rid of dark spots and scars. There are also some unknown home remedies that you can use to help get rid of them without completely breaking the bank.

Here is one of my favorite home recipes for dark spot removal:

Baking Soda- 2 tablespoons

Lemon Juice- 1 tablespoon (enough to help form a paste.)

Sea Salt- 1 teaspoon

These simple ingredients can be mixed together to form a paste, this paste works wonders to tighten the skin pores and also in helping you get rid of dark spots on your face. These everyday products work their magic once you mix them together until they form a thick paste. The paste should have a thick consistency, so that it can be spread over your face easily.

Once you have a good consistency apply the paste onto your face and allow it to stay for 10 minutes. When you first apply it, gently rub the mixture on the face in a circular motion. Be careful not to rub to hard as this can really hurt because of the crystals in the sea salt. The sea salt will work as a natural exfoliant for your skin.

Once you initially rub the paste do not touch it for the remaining time. While it is one your face it should turn a whitish color. After the time has passed proceed to wash the mask off your face with warm water, then follow with a facial moisturizer.

The treatment should be applied to your face daily, if you have a severe dark marks then you might want to use it both in the morning and at night to increase the effectiveness. After using this mixture you will immediately notice a difference in your skin's appearance, as any dullness and dryness should be alleviated. Can Acne Scars Really Be Removed?

Although I don't have acne myself, I really do feel for those who have, and also for those who have successfully managed to get rid of their acne but only to be left with acne scars.

This is the reason why I, as a trainee skin care therapist, have delved deep into acne and acne scars.

Acne is a growing concern for millions of people all over the globe but unfortunately many are still left with acne, or the scars, even after spending hundreds of pounds on various treatments.

Today I'm going to talk about acne scars and identify if they really can be removed. First of all we're going to take a look at how the skin regenerates itself and see how this incorporates with acne scars.

Our skin is made up of several layers with the top layer being called the epidermis. The epidermis sheds its dead skin cells and renews itself every 15-30 days. This process is helped along with the production of collagen within the dermis (bottom layer of skin). Collagen helps to reproduce new skin cells and the new skin cells push their way to the top layer of your skin (epidermis) pushing away the dead skin cells which then fall away.

This then allows us to have that 'glow' about us but to also constantly repair our skin. This is how a deep scratch for example, goes away after a couple of weeks or so.

However, with scarred or damaged skin, in our case acne scars, new skin cells are unable to reproduce which is why scars are permanent. The reason why new skin cells don't reproduce is because the skin is damaged and is unable to produce collagen. Without the production of collagen, new cells are unable to form.

So what we need to do in this case is to help the dermis produce collagen in the scarred area. The most effective tool to do this is called the derma roller. The derma roller consists of dozens of tiny needles and when rolled over the skin, it pricks the skin right through to the dermis layer which forces collagen to start its process.

Once collagen starts reproducing, the new skin cells also follow suit, and the whole cycle begins. So if you get a derma roller and use it several times a week, this then forces collagen to reproduce and forces new cells to surface to the top and push the dead (and scarred) skin cells away.

So to answer my own question, 'Can acne scars really be removed?' the answer is yes. If you use a derma roller to puncture the top layer of the skin, which then starts the process of regeneration of new skin cells, which will eventually replace the scarred tissue.

Treatment For Acne Scars - Here Are Some of The Finest Options

There are a whole lot options for treatment of acne scars, unfortunately though many of these may not work for your specific skin or scar type. It will be useful only if a particular product works for you and helps remove your acne scars. A wrong choice will waste a lot of your money, and worsen your skin condition.

You should carefully weight all the options, before opting for a course of treatment. Your choice of treatment for acne scars should be guided by the following steps:

1. To get rid of acne scars, right now you must be suffering from acne scars. Are you presently bothered by skin ailments like pimples, blackheads etc., or you have only a recent history of acne infections? If present, ensure you follow a good regimen of treatment for scars. But if you only had acne sometime last month, there is no need to immediately start the treatment. However, if you are not free from acne, proceed to next step.

2. Do you know your skin type? Examine the acne scars, their density and shape. You should know your enemy against whom you are battling. Once you have this knowledge, it will enable you to browse and visit websites and compare available solutions, which have worked for people who had similar history. This will enable you to choose the best treatment. Take a photo of your scars, for comparison. Now move over to the next important step.

3. You should now zero on products which your research has convinced you. Remember, all products will not work for all skin genres. They may even prove harmful. Since there are hundreds of products, including cosmetics, most of them will not work for you. Your research will be your guide. If there is less number of people using or talking about a particular medication, this treatment for acne scar marks is not for you.

You should therefore get hold of a product which has at least a few good reviews to back it up. Now, search for "before and after" photos, of the particular treatment you're trying to use. Compare your scars' photo. If the scars match, you have found your treatment for acne scars. Don't opt for highly concentrated products, because they can damage both your skin and purse. Despite many options before you, your best option would be to go for a product which suits the severity of your acne scar.

To sum up, your choice of treatment should suit the kind of scar you are having, only this should determine the treatment. As long as your scars continue, no scar treatment option will work, because the skin will continue to come up with new marks.

Once you are cured of your scars, take a photo of your skin, and again go to websites and try to locate a medication or treatment with good reviews, before and after photos, and compare your cured skin photos. This will lead you to the treatment for acne scars.

Deciding on the Best Acne Scar Treatment For You

If you have scarring left behind from severe acne you will be looking for the best acne scar treatment for you. Acne is a major problem, especially in the teenage years but, thankfully, usually clears up by the late teens or early twenties. It can however, leave behind disfiguring scars. There are a range of treatments for acne scars so we've put together information on all the current methods available so you can talk with your dermatologist armed with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision.

Microdermabrasion is right for small acne scars that are raised above the skin's surface. This basically exfoliates the skin and gets rid of dead and damaged skin on the surface. Microdermabrasion is not suitable for deep scars or sunken scars. In this procedure a machine is used to scatter very small crystals onto the the skin in a stream under pressure. The crystals are as a rule aluminium oxide but others, for instance zinc oxide, sodium chloride or magnesium oxide, can be used as an alternative. This takes off the very top layer of the skin and is very useful to completely clean out pores. An added benefit is that it eliminates dead skin cells. It is low risk and does not require any recovery period.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation is a moderate technique that does not take away the skin's top layer as other laser techniques do but makes use of light rays which penetrate below the surface layer of the skin. This intensifies collagen growth which then starts to fill in the acne scars over the following months. There is no recovery time as there is no damage to the skin and it takes only around twenty minutes to carry out. There may well be some slight skin reddening which is brief and can be simply covered by the use of makeup. Laser skin rejuvenation treatments are typically done over approximately four weeks with around five or six treatments.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing is obtainable in two different forms called ablative and non-ablative. Recovery from non-ablative laser treatment is to a great extent quicker and is usually used only on less severe scarring. The laser is used to make small areas of damage to the skin around the scars which causes the production of more collagen which helps to heal the scar. This method is often regarded as one of the best acne scar treatments, however it is also the most costly.

Acne Scar Thermage Treatment is a newer procedure which makes us of waves that are in the radio frequency range and is mostly used for lines and wrinkles on the face. This procedure stimulates the growth of collagen and therefore doesn't treat scars in the same way as fractional laser skin resurfacing. It is pain free and isn't invasive and takes less than an hour.

Dermal Filling is mostly temporary and employs collagen injections which fill in the scars. A few months later the filling material used is absorbed by the skin. The collagen is derived from either natural or animal sources so if you are using collagen derived from animals you must be tested for allergic reactions before undertaking the treatment. Some newer dermal fillers, for example Restylane®, use man-made materials which do not have the risk of an allergic reaction and generally last much longer than other collagen treatments. If you are looking for a low-priced, although temporary method, this could be the best acne scar treatment for you.

Chemical Peels are not so common as they were formerly as acne scar treatments such as laser skin resurfacing are being used more frequently instead. In spite of this they are quite useful for mild to moderate acne scarring as they essentially remove the surface layer of the skin which then allows new healthy and unscarred skin to grow. The most popular kind of chemical peel is made from glycolic acid which is a natural acid found in fruit and plants. A chemical peel will only take around twenty minutes and is relatively pain free though there might be a little stinging. After effects may include redness and dryness of the skin which possibly will last from a few days to as much as a week depending on the variety and intensity of the chemical peel procedure. A course of a minimum of three treatments is desirable to see any obvious improvement in scarring.

Conclusion

The best acne scar treatment for you will depend on a variety of factors that will be looked at by your dermatologist including the type, depth and extent of the scarring. The cost is, of course, a major consideration as most of these procedures are expensive. You do not have to live with scarring so consider laser treatment as an effective method to make you scars fade away forever.

Back Acne Scars Treatment

Back acne scars may not be as noticeable as facial scarring but they can be just as embarrassing and annoying. Back acne is often caused by problems with hygiene and sweat trapped from tight fitting clothing. Pores on the back may become blocked up with the trapped sweat and can then become inflamed and infected. Hormones can also cause back acne. Because the skin is much thicker on the back than what it is on the face, back acne can be harder to treat that facial acne.

If you have been unfortunate enough to have suffered from back acne and have been left with back acne scars then you might be happy to know that there are treatments options available to clear up your back and give you back smooth, clear skin.

The first treatment option is to exfoliate your skin regularly. You can use a loofah and a body scrub and exfoliate your back a couple of times a week. This will get rid of the old dead skin cells and will also stop your pores from blocking up and causing further acne.

Another treatment option is to use creams or lotions to help reduce or get rid of your scars. There are different over the counter creams available and your doctor may even prescribe a cream. There are also some natural creams and lotions available that may assist with removing acne scars.

Microdermabrasion is another treatment and with this procedure the top layer of skin is removed using a machine. It is almost like a sanding machine sanding the top layer of skin off, leaving the new, smooth skin underneath. When the top layer of skin is removed some of the scars are also removed. You may need a few treatments of microdermabrasion to remove your scars completely.

Another treatment is chemical peels which work in a similar way to microdermabrasion in that it removes the top layer of skin, but with this procedure it is done using chemicals. This procedure may also require more than one treatment before getting the results that you want. The type of chemicals that are used for the chemical peel may depend on the skin type.

Laser resurfacing treatment is another very effective method for removing back acne scars. Laser resurfacing treatment is one of the most effective treatments however it is a little more invasive than the others. Often a person may only require one or two treatments of laser resurfacing to have good results, but sometimes it may require more treatments.

If you are looking for a method to get rid of back acne scars then try one of these treatments and see how much better your skin looks. Even though these scars may be on your back where they aren't all that noticeable to you, they may still make you feel embarrassed for others to see. So don't put up with ugly scars, start treatment and get your clear skin back.

Remove Blackheads - You Don't Have to Have Them Anymore

What Causes Blackheads? Blackheads, which are also known as open comedones, are tiny, dark pigmented plugs in the skin. They are caused by pores which have been clogged by excess oil and dead skin cells. They turn black because the open pores cause the excess oil to be exposed to oxygen, which causes a chemical reaction that turns the plug dark when it comes to a head at the surface of the skin - thus the term "blackhead".

Tips to Keep New Blackheads from Forming

Since blackheads are caused by excess oil, it is important to note that if you have oily skin, you need to use a water-soluble acne cleanser. Never ever use any type of bar soap because the ingredients that are keeping a bar of soap together can also clog up your pores. This will make it more difficult to remove blackheads from the skin.
If your skin is oily, it would be helpful for you to absorb excess oil as much as possible. A clay mask which does not contain any irritating ingredients, like peppermint, would be helpful.
Also, although excess oil is the main culprit in the formation of blackheads, this does not mean that people with normal or dry skin cannot get blackheads. Blackheads can form on all skin types.

Remedies to Remove Blackheads

A common remedy to remove blackheads is to simply pop them out from the skin. However, this can often cause more irritation, infection, bruising and scarring.
Another remedy people have used to remove blackheads is attempting to pull them from the skin with pore strips. This can remove the superficial blackheads but it will also remove some healthy skin by tearing it. So be very careful with this and be sure to read the warnings on the labels for pore strips.
A good thing to do for blackheads, however, is to exfoliate or slough the skin. This helps open up clogged pores and eliminate dead skin cells.

It is important to note all of these, but the main key to success for removing blackheads is following an effective facial regimen system that works.

I'm Audrey and I had a problem with blackheads and after trying a number of things to get rid of them that did not work, I found a way to remove blackheads myself and now my face has been clear for over 5 years. Your face can finally be clear too with the treatment regimen I used. Get it right now by visiting: [acnecontroltreatment.com/site] - you don't have to suffer anymore.

Raise Your Hand If You Hate Your Acne Scars

Brad Pitt has acne scars, and they just make him look sexier. However, if you're not feeling like Brad Pitt, you may be interested in cosmetically altering those tell-tale pockmarks.

Acne, a common skin condition, occurs when pores become clogged with dead skin cells and oil. These blemishes generally disappear overtime but occasionally few would leave scars.

When acne appears, bodies while blood cells rush to the sight to repair tissue and fight infection. A scar can form as a result of healing process. Popping, pricking or even touching a blemish can send bacteria deeper into the skin, increasing irritation. This greatly increases the likelihood that a scar would result.

Scarring can also occur from severe acne. Nodules and cysts, the more intense form of acne, penetrate deep into the skin and are therefore more likely to leave behind scars.

A common type of acne scar is actually cause by loss of tissue. These scars are characterized by the depressions on the skin surface. Excess collagen can also cause scarring. When body needs to heal a blemish, it quickly creates a new layer of collagen, a protein found in connective tissues. When excess collagen is produced to compensate, the skin transforms into a hypertrophic scar, a smooth mark raised above the skin surface.

Your cosmetic treatment option depends on type and severity of scarring as well as your current skin condition. One way to improve the appearance of a scar is via injection. A dermatologist can inject collagen into a depressed scar, filling out the hollow area. Injection process can also be done by using the fat from another part of the body. In both cases, the cosmetic benefits are temporary, lasting not more than three to six months. A dermatologist can also inject corticosteroid into a hypertropic scar to flatten and soften the raised area.

Another scar reduction technique, laser treatment, reduces redness and evens out the scar tissue. The results are permanent but difficult to achieve. Laser treatments are expensive and can require multiple visits. In severe cases, skin surgery can be performed to remove the scar tissue or to elevate it as necessary. Another effective treatment option for removing acne scars is dermabrasion. This procedure uses a high speed brush to remove surface skin, eradicating superficial scars and reducing the appearance of deeper ones.

If acne has left you with embarrassing marks, there are plenty of options available to remove scars. However, it is always easier to prevent scars than treat them. Acne Scars, How to Get Rid of Them

Acne scars may make you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed around people. A scar normally forms at the site of an injury. In this case, the injury is a as a result of the body's inflammatory response to the sebum bacteria and the dead cells in the sebaceous follicle.

Scars as a result of acne can be classified into two. There are those scars that are caused by increased tissue formation, they are referred to as keloids and are associated with excessive amounts of collagen. There are also those that are caused by loss of tissue. Excessive production of collagen is a response by the skin cells to an injury. The excess collagen is piled in fibrous masses leading to a scar. Acne scars that are caused by loss of tissue include ice-pick scars and depressed fibrotic scars. Others are atrophic macules and follicular macular atrophy.

You can get rid of these scars through a number of treatment methods. One such treatment is through collagen injection. This involves injecting collagen under the skin that helps to stretch and fill out certain types of scars. Autologous fat transfer involves taking fat from one part of your body and injecting it under the skin to elevate a depressed scar. Dermabrasion is considered the most effective treatment method and it involves the use of an anesthetic and a high-speed brush to remove surface skin and change the shape of the scar.

Microdermabrasion is a form of dermabrasion and instead of using a high-speed brush, aluminum oxide crystals passing through a vacuum tube are used to remove surface skin. Other treatment methods for acne scars include laser treatment, skin surgery and skin grafting.

Scar Free Healing Made Possible for Facial Blemishes and Acne Scarring Using a New Biological

Are you feeling exhausted of trying to cope with your rough scars? Are you tired of being forced to buy special clothes to try to make them disappear?

If the responses to those two questions is a yes, then please take a moment to look at a new natural cream.

A scar in a visble body part can be a lot more than a skin problem that developed right after a cut or an opened wound. It can be the reason for a man to lose his self-esteem or the joy of walking around with his chin up.

You may have bought lots of various treatment products and they may have promised you nothing but good results and scar-free skin. This possibly could have made you think twice about all future treatments.

In the past, when people were searching for a scar treatment, chemical peels and dermabrasion were the preferred methods of scar removal. Chemical peels are a popular method of scar treatment. The down side is that your skin can respond negatively to synthetic chemicals. Allowing synthetic chemicals to penetrate the skin can stimulate redness, irritation and in some intense cases, hyperpigmentation.

Dermabrasion is the method of removing the top layers of skin using an apparatus that resembles a sandblaster. The procedure physically removes skin, giving it a fresher appearance. It works best for superficial scarring, submerged scars need more advanced treatment. 6 to 8 weeks of down time is needed for thorough healing so this can push some people to other procedures.

A New Biological Ingredient Included in a Home Microdermabrasion Cream Helps Dissolve Acne Scars and Renews Skin Injuries.

There is a new all natural home microdermabrasion cream that has abrading micro-crystals and skin remodeling activators that works better than any other skin product on sale. It's enzymes dissolve deep scar tissue and motivate your own innate regenerative processes.

When applied topically, at least twice daily for 2 months, the cream will work in unison with your body and:

Digests damaged cells on the topmost micron of skin. The micro-crystals abrade the top layer of skin to allow for the biological ingredient to penetrate deeper into the skin matrix.

Diffuses damaged structures within the skin by the activity of biological enzymes. This is effective for the treatment of stretch marks, deep acne scars, age spots, and sun damage.

Stimulates the use of the amino acids that the enzymes liberate and rouses the fibroblast stem cells which then lead to the development of new strong connective tissues and all the requisite elements of healthy skin.

Controls dermal fibroblast evolution and excess collagen, and hence obstructs and diminishes abnormal scarring and gently but consistently gets rid of ice-pick scars or depressed acne scars.

Works to eliminate redness and irritation and regulates acne causing bacteria.

Just a quick note here, if you are searching for a keloid scar treatment, it is better you use a cream without micro-crystals since the abrasion involved can actually inflame keloids.

Effective Acne Scar Solutions

Acne has long-term physical effects. They persist indefinitely, and remain after the initial acne symptoms have disappeared. Without doubt, the most important long-term legacy from acne is its scarring. Acne scarring has a characteristic appearance and affects the same skin areas as the acne outbreak did. This means that the patient's face and upper torso are usually most affected. Significant scarring on the face can be very distressing to the patient. Acne scar solutions may go some way to improving the appearance of scarred skin and help alleviate the self-consciousness that so often accompanies a severely scarred person for life.

As a result of extensive scientific investigation, the biological mechanism which results in acne scarring is now well established. In the skin, inflammation causes collagen over-production during the process of healing. Skin thickening and localised permanent skin deformation results. Acne leaves characteristic depressed areas which are indented acne scars. These are sometimes described as ice-pick scars due to their shape and appearance.

Surgical Therapies

Anyone who has been left badly scarred by acne is well advised to seek expert guidance from a dermatologist regarding acne scar solutions. Techniques such as micro-dermabrasion or laser therapy may be suggested by the medical practitioner. These are ways to remove the outermost layer of skin in controlled conditions. They can eventually improve the skin's appearance. The sunken characteristics of deep acne scar tissue can be challenging, however.

The dermabrasion technique is implemented using high-velocity air to drive fine abrasive powder over the skin's surface. Alternatively a very fine vibrating abrasive surface such as a disk is carefully applied to the skin by the therapist. Dermabrasion can be an unpleasant experience. Local anaesthetics are usually offered to help minimize the patient's discomfort. Be aware that surface bleeding is normal during the procedure. The abraded skin may take many months to heal completely. After healing, the skin's appearance is more uniform and natural.

Unlike micro-dermabraion, laser therapy is one of the acne scar solutions which does not involve direct skin contact. Instead, a beam of intense laser light is shone onto the surface of the skin. This is intended to attack the skin cells so that re-healing occurs and produces fresh, smooth skin. It is generally necessary to undergo several rounds of laser treatment in order to obtain satisfactory results. Laser therapy is a good way to deal with small, localized regions of severe scarring.

For individual scars which feature roll-tissue, thickened skin or keloid inclusion, the best acne scar solution may be individual excision. In this procedure, a surgeon cuts out the scar tissue and closes the skin. In recent years, the use of collagen injections has been employed to improve the appearance of depressed scars by filling the tissue behind them.

Lotions And Potions

An incredible number of home-remedy acne scar solutions are documented. There is no clinical evidence to support their efficacy, but anecdotal evidence does suggest that some may have benefits in improving the skin's condition and appearance. The up-side is that most home remedies are cheap to prepare and safe to use, with few if any side-effects.

One of the popular home acne scar solutions makes use of lemon juice. This is claimed to lighten the skin colour changes that sometimes accompany acne scars. For exfoliating the skin surface, baking soda and similar fine abrasives may be useful. This is in effect a milder and shallower alternative to the conventional micro-dermabrasion described above.

Skin condition is worth some attention, as the skin's elasticity can be harmed by acne scars. Consider using a good-quality moisturising product to help counteract this effect.
