Alternatives to Laser Surgery For Acne Scars That You Need to Be Aware of Now

Do you have a bad case of acne scars on your back, face, or other areas of your body? The embarrassment and insecurity caused by the appearance of acne scars can truly alter your social life in many ways. A simple trip to the beach isn't so simple anymore when the constant fear in your head is that people will be starring at your scars and seeing you as less attractive than how they viewed you before.

The most common "solution" to treating acne scars is that of having laser surgery. However, seeing how multiple surgeries may be needed with each one costing hundreds of dollars, many sufferers know that this isn't an option that's even remotely considerable. The good news to all of this is that there are plenty of natural acne scar treatments that you can try in your own home that will do much more for you than laser surgery.

One method that you will want to first try is creating the habit of not touching, picking, popping, scratching, etc. your acne. This will take some self control on your part, but a lot of acne scars are created by popping the acne which in turn causes it to bleed thus forming a scab. This will cause scarring in almost all cases. Now, it is true that some acne will scar even if you never touch it so this doesn't apply to those kind. But do try to fight the temptation of touching your pimples because this will be worth it down the road.

The next method is a natural solution that you can buy to apply to your acne scars that will drastically reduce the scars until they're virtually non-noticeable. It is a silicon gel and it is extremely effective at speeding up the scar healing process that the skin undergoes during this time. Simply apply the gel to an already healed wound twice a day and leave it there as you're doing other activities. For example, I would apply to my scars at night while I check my email or play my computer games. But it is also important that you only apply the gel to scars instead of wounds. The gel increases the speed of the healing process by blocking out the air which slows down the healing.

You can also try applying lemon juice to your acne scars as well. This has been said to speed up the healing process as well. I also recommend taking bathes at least twice a week because this will soften the skin and remove dead skin cells that could be causing the healing process to slow down.
