About Using Baking Soda For Acne Scars and Wrinkles - Is This a New Treatment?

One of the most common household remedies for the removal of both acne scars and wrinkles from the skin is baking soda. It is the chemical sodium bicarbonate, which is used for direct application over the scars. However, the method may not be preferred by everyone because some people do find it to be a very painful process. So, should one use it for acne scars and wrinkles or not? We try to answer the question here.

The Correct Way of Using Baking Soda for Acne Scars and Wrinkles

In order for the treatment to be effective and without much discomfort, it has to be used in the right way. Make a paste using 1 teaspoonful with 2 teaspoonfuls of water. The paste is then directly taken and applied onto the affected area of the skin with a rubbing effect. This treatment works at the scars and wrinkles extremely efficiently and removes them with a rapid action, within just 1-2 days.

Acne Scars and Wrinkles

The reason why baking soda works excellently for all kinds of skin is because it works with the microdermabrasion technique which is commonly used in the cosmetic industry. As the mixture is rubbed onto the skin, the upper portion of the skin gets exfoliated and the lower skin which becomes visible is without blemish. Hence, the scars fade away with this treatment.

Some Problems in Using This for Acne Scars and Wrinkles

The commonest drawback in using this for the elimination of scars and wrinkles is that it can cause the skin to tingle a bit and in some cases it can also cause some burning sensations. The soda must not be kept for more than twenty minutes on the skin so that such problems are avoided.
