Home Made Remedies to Get Rid of Acne Today!

Over the past few years pharmaceutical organizations have made billions from the sale of prescription and non prescription acne treatment medication. The majority of these medications unfortunately are greatly ineffective when attempting to actually rid you of your acne, they also frequently come with negative side effects. The effectiveness of these medications does not even come close to justifying the high price. For best results you can use home made remedies, which are highly effective and very low cost.

The first step to clear healthy skin is simple: drink eight glasses of water. That said, sitting down and drinking eight glasses in a matter of minutes is not healthy either, it is actually quite counterproductive. Try to integrate drinking water into your daily diet. Although drinking water may seem boring, you can actually infuse the water with freshly squeezed fruit, not only adding extra flavor but also adding the nutrients of the fruit. Using a variety of fruits will make drinking water less repetitive and more enjoyable. While cleansing your system, water also gets rid of built up toxins in your skin. Water will make your skin glow and lessen acne.

Pricey acne treatments are not always the best options for clear skin, sometimes the best solutions are the simplest. Using a regular routine of gentle soup and water can be highly effective. You want to avoid scrubbing your face roughly as this will irritate the acne and actually make it worse. Limit your washing to twice a daily, any more than that and you risk stripping the skin of its required oils. To make up for a loss in natural oil, the body will produce a lot more sebum which will worsen the acne.

Sometimes acne can become itchy and red-looking. If this occurs you can make a homemade paste from a simple mixture of baking soda and a little water. The baking soda and water will sooth your skins irritation by reducing the itch and decreasing redness. This same treatment is even effective for use on bee stings.

The cause of acne is built up oil and dirt beneath the skin. Oil and dirt are also the culprits that cause irritation. To draw out these impurities and reduce the acne, it is highly recommended that you use an astringent. Cooked oatmeal works as an excellent astringent. Just mix your regular oats together with warm water to make a thick paste. Then simply apply the oatmeal paste onto affected areas of the skin. Allow the oatmeal paste to remain on the skin for 10-20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. This simple home remedy will remove the harmful particles hiding under your skin and reduce the redness.

For effective removal of acne triggering bacteria, it is recommended that you use a natural antiseptic like grapefruit. Just mix grapefruit extract with water and apply the mixture onto a cotton ball. Rub the cotton ball onto infected areas. Again, it is important to only apply twice daily. To effectively clean out your skins pores it is important to use something with a natural pH that is not conducive to acne. Either fresh lemon juice or cider vinegar applied to skin with a cotton ball are excellent options for cleaning out your skins pores. To reduce the appearance and promote the recovery of acne scars and lessen the effects of current and future infections, it is important to use Aloe Vera Juice in the morning and at night while you clean your face.

There are many options out there for home made acne treatments: masks, cleansers, exfoliates, astringents and moisturizers. Using these homemade remedies will prove much more effective to acne treatment than expensive prescription and non-prescription products.
