Acne Scars - Make Them Disappear

The joy you feel by getting rid of acne can often be overshadowed by the scars that it leaves behind. That is why today we have prepared for you a list of different treatments that you can do to get rid or improve scars and marks left by acne.

Scars left by acne are often results of picking and popping. Try to ignore the pimples and let it be. Pressing and popping them cause marks and scars, and make them last longer!

The most appropriate treatment is to go to a dermatologist, this should be done as soon as possible. Fewer pimples, means fewer scars!

Treatment Methods:

1. Laser Treatment - There are more and more clinics equipped with devices that can remove acne and signs with the laser. ThermaScan is one option made with a special laser with pulsed infrared light (IPL) that can selectively target areas of the skin responsible for producing collagen.

2. Chemical peeling - Chemical peeling is a treatment which removes some of the cells in the dermis and epidermis layers. This treatment is used both to reduce wrinkles, and to remove superficial scars and marks left by acne. Chemical peels can be achieved with several different types: superficial, medium (superficial scars) or deep (deep scars).

3. Injections - Another way for you to get rid of scars is with corticosteroid injections or antiproliferative solutions. Corticosteroid injection may be useful in treating inflammatory nodules, favoring their resorption. You can also try collagen injections. Unfortunately, this method is not permanent and the procedure must be repeated after several months.

4. Microdermoabrasion - Microdermoabrasion is a cosmetic procedure which removes one layer of skin. Treatment is done with a beam pressure micro-crystals of corundum and provides good results in removing marks left by acne.

5. Criosurgery - Criosurgery is a therapy that uses substances cryogenic (liquid nitrogen) to treat skin diseases. This can be successfully applied in the case of acne. Cryotherapy is freeze therapy, and acne may be removed by the process of freezing / defrosting.

6. Silicon - Originally used for different types of implants, silicone is used successfully today in the case of acne. The treatment lasts about 6 months and the results are permanent on most patients.

7. Creams - Do not forget the moisturizer creams, made from natural ingredients. They help tissue regeneration.

The methods mentioned in this article do not guarantee the disappearance of scars. Seriously discuss with a doctor before you try the above treatments, some of them may be dangerous, especially when not conducted properly!
