Solutions For Acne That Work

Acne is a skin affliction that unfortunately, has no definite cure. Preventive care can successfully nullify the preconditions of acne, and improve the overall texture of the skin so that further attacks can be thwarted.

The main cause of acne is excessive oil production n the skin. The regions where acne can occur include the forehead, the cheeks, the nose, the chin, the chest, back and the upper arms.

Here are some natural solutions for preventing the recurrence of acne:

- Regular application of fresh garlic over the affected areas will effectivle reduces acne and removes the scars as well.

- A pack of ground nutmeg mixed with milk when applied on acne for an hour or so almost miraculously heals the skin.

- A mixture of groundnut oil with fresh lime juice can be extremely useful for the treatment of acne and blackheads. This should be left on for 10 to 15 minutes and applied daily.

- Dabbing a cleansed face with cotton balls soaked in vinegar is also an effective acne solution.

- An extremely beneficial natural face wash for can prone skin is a mixture of a teaspoon full of fresh lime juice with a glass of boiled milk. This not only removes acne and pimples but cures blackheads as well.

- The juice of raw papaya, without discarding the skin and the seed portions, can be applied over inflamed acne to reduce the swelling and soothe the skin.

- Similarly, the application of tomato pulp for one hour every day heals acne.

- Ground radish seeds can be mixed with water and made into a paste, which when applied on acne provides a long-term solution.

- Pomegranate skin can be roasted and powdered and then mixed with the juice of a lemon to apply as a pack as a solution for acne, blackheads and whiteheads.

- The unsightly scars that are left by acne can be reduced by the application of grated potato.

- To close open pores or contract large, visible pores on the skin, a paste of sandalwood powder is very effective.

- One very helpful exfoliant is oatmeal powder mixed with rose water. Almond powder can also be used. However, the areas that are covered with acne should not be rubbed vigorously. The paste should be applied in gentle circular motions all over the face and washed off, to own a clear, glowing skin, free of blackheads and other blemishes.
