Acne scars are mostly caused by the acne being exposed to the Sun or by a treatment of acne gone overboard with over-enthusiasm. Some treatments are time tested. When it is all dry, leave them be for a while and wash off.

Surgery is another option. In surgery, the scars are completely removed painstakingly and since they completely do away with the scars, you do not have to worry about recurrence. However, it will put you back by some considerable sums of money.
